Dong Fang Mei Ren Tea, also known as "Oriental Beauty Tea," undergoes a unique transformation after being bitten by small green leafhoppers. The bites cause a stress response in the tea leaves, triggering enzyme production in the tea buds, which in turn affects photosynthesis and creates natural fermentation. This tea is typically made in the hot summer months of June and July. The leaves are infused with the saliva of the small green leafhoppers (a type of insect damage), which imparts the tea with a distinctive honey and ripe fruit aroma. Since this process requires the presence of the insects, no pesticides can be used during the production of Dong Fang Mei Ren Tea, making it labor-intensive and highly precious.

Dong Fang Mei Ren Tea features numerous spots, with tender buds covered in white down. The picking standard is a tender bud with two leaves. The leaves exhibit five colors: red, yellow, white, green, and brown, and are sometimes curled, which is why it is also known as "Five-color Tea." Legend has it that British tea merchants presented this tea to Queen Victoria of England. Due to its beautiful appearance when brewed, like a beautiful woman dancing in a crystal cup, and its delightful taste, the Queen praised it highly and named it "Oriental Beauty" or "Champagne Oolong." Upon close inspection, the dry tea leaves have an elegant, subtle, and beautiful shape, resembling the flying celestial beings in Dunhuang murals wearing colorful feathered garments, which is why the name "Oriental Beauty Tea" is so fitting.

**Four Characteristics of Taiwan Oolong Tea - Dong Fang Mei Ren:**

1. **Dry Tea**: The dry tea leaves of Dong Fang Mei Ren have white down visible, and the leaves are a mix of five colors: white, green, red, yellow, and brown. The tea liquor is orange-red and amber, clear and bright. It has a rich floral and fruity fragrance, with honey notes. The taste is sweet and smooth, with intense honey and floral fruit aromas that are not overpowering, leaving a lasting impression.

2. **Tea Liquor**: The tea liquor of Dong Fang Mei Ren is orange-golden, with a bright, lustrous amber color.

**Brewing Method**:  
It is recommended to use a white porcelain or transparent glass cup. Use 7 grams of tea leaves for 150ml of water, and brew at a temperature of 95°C.
